The “New Normal”
I am in the car right now driving back from Andy Nguyen’s this is the first time I’ve been here since the virus came. Everything looks normal, but empty. The door was locked shut with a sign with their number for us to call to place an order , a makeshift box to pass through the transactions and even pens in spots marked unsanatized and satanized. I smiles at the guy and thanked him as were standing there I said “this is so weird” as were walking away I nervously sigh “this is our new normal” and Timmy says “I refuse to call this anything but normal” I correct myself and say “this is our normal for right now”
I think to myself that we have to get used to this to survive or the strangeness about this whole thing will drive us crazy. I guess it was a moment of shock and acceptance of the weirdness we had just experienced. Weird thoughts right? We’re living history in the present. If we make it this far. I think other generations that went through hard times also thought these same thoughts “will we make it?” I hope so.
